Dead of night

Dead of night, I reach for her. Bed is empty, her side cold. I sigh. Rise. Sitting Indian-style, bent over her book, cartoon night-light overhead, tongue peeking out. She is focused. Doesn’t notice me, watching her, loving her, every minute, more than the last.

Far too long

You’ve been together, for far too long. You’ve forgotten what about him first made you smile. Caught your eye. His gaze. His width. His smile. His intellect. You no longer see his good. Only the bad and ugly. Close your eyes. Breathe. See him. Touch him. Feel his heartbeat, listen to your own, and ask yourself, have we been together for far too long?

Vibrations.

In the air, above, all around. Vibrations.       Vibrations.             Vibrations. Between two people, passing on the street. Passing glance,  Blue eyes meet green. Vibrations,  Flutter inside. Hearts shiver,  In recognition Of these vibrations. From a past life, maybe two, but they go on their separate ways, a smile on their lips, a lightness to their step, knowing that one day, in this life or the next, they will meet again.

You’re on your way

I know it, feel it. You’re on your way. It’s in my bones, in their restlessness, as if, making noise for the ones who’ll complete them. You’re on your way. The vibrations are more frequent, I’m recognising them more and more. You’re on your way, love, On your way to make me whole. You’ll bring with you a love, so pure, so tender. You’ll bring light, your soul, You’ll fill me up. You’ll complete me. You’re on your way. And I am here, waiting.
